Clean Energy Capital (CEC), the renewable energy company supplying cost-competitive, decentralised clean power to Large Power Users (LPU), helping businesses and landowners to reduce the impact of global warming and climate change, kicked off the year with a series of industry awards successes.
From awards that highlight sustainability excellence across all industries, to those celebrating innovation and efficiency within the data centre industry, CEC is humbled and proud to have its achievements — and those of its passionate, dedicated team — recognised. We were also deeply glad and proud to see so much well-deserved recognition for our Director of Data Centres, Amy Young, who was awarded for her contributions to the industry.
The entire CEC team are thrilled with the awards and shortlist success so far. We're confident that 2025 will be an incredible year for our company and the best is yet to come!
Sustainability60
With entrants from multiple industries, including retail, manufacturing, health and agriculture, we are proud to announce that CEC has been listed at number 28 in TechRound’s Sustainability60, which celebrates the entrepreneurs and companies working to ‘supercharge sustainability’ across the UK and Europe.
From a significant pool of applications, CEC and 59 other companies were selected for their outstanding dedication to leading sustainable investment and innovation. Alexander Goodall, Founder and CEO of CEC comments: ‘It’s fantastic to be recognised amongst these inspiring businesses with the shared goal to decarbonise our environment. We are proud to be a part of this varied list - we are in great company.’
NetZero Hero
Meeting the energy demands of today (let alone tomorrow) while working towards a decarbonised future is a vital challenge facing data centres and other LPUs in the UK today. As a business committed to helping drive decarbonisation by making renewable energy accessible and attractive to LPUs like data centres, we are thrilled to have been shortlisted in the NetZero Hero category of Data Centre Review Awards. The prestigious awards ceremony will take place at the Oxo Tower in London on May 14th, where we hope to be announced as this year’s NetZero Hero!
Data Centre Solutions Awards
CEC have also been shortlisted in two categories for the 15th Data Centre Solutions Awards. The categories reflect the 'technological advancements and responses to global trends’ across the data centre industry. The awards ceremony gala will take place on May 22nd, where we hope to not only meet and share ideas with the other companies leading the UK’s data centre sector, but to celebrate success in the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability and Efficiency Award’ and the ‘Data Centre Sustainability Innovation of the Year Award.’
Both categories are open to public vote, so if you believe in CEC and our work to be a force for innovation and sustainability in the data centre industry, please support us and register your vote here:
